As President Biden struggles to find a classified document discovery hiatus that allows him to announce his re-election plans nearly three quarters of Americans believe the country is on the wrong track. Here is why:

• Climate alarmism and the Price of Energy

When Biden took office and cancelled the Keystone pipeline, gas and heating oil were under $2.50 a gallon, America was energy independent and the climate alarmists were only dreaming of banning internal combustion engines and gas stoves.

• Progressive Destruction of the Southern Border and Promotion of an Invasion

When Biden took office, the border was secure, the invasion was stalled, and the drug cartels did not control the border and threaten to make Mexico a failed state. The Progressive conceit of “citizens of the world” is threatening American sovereignty, prospects and freedom, and creating fentanyl killing fields across the entire country.

Progressive Spending and Inflation

When Biden took office, inflation was under 2%. Fueled by trillions in progressive spending on green dreams and racist diversity, equity and inclusion delusions (Pete Buttigieg says our roads are systemically racist), inflation has hit a 40 year high and flirted with double figures, and will not be tamed unless and until spending declines and/or the Fed raises interest rates above the inflation rate.

• Progressive Racism  also known as Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion is about judging people by the color of their skin or other immutable characteristic such as gender or sexuality, not the content of their character. The talk of white supremacy, white privilege and anti-racism is irredeemably racist and destructive to individual freedom and excellence based on merit. It is also progressive religion. They are entitled to freedom of religion (although they would deny it to others), but not to the establishment and imposition of wokism as a state religion. Next time a progressive mentions separation of church and state, remind them of that. The same caution should be applied to environmentalism and climate alarmism,

• Progressive Promulgation of Unequal Justice and a Tiered Justice System

Despite the hollow denials of Attorney General Garland, very different rules of justice apply depending on political identity. Riots, arson and sedition committed by Black Lives Matter and Antifa, the Democratic political militia, go essentially unpunished, but the January 6 protestors rot in a DC jail and get overcharged and heavily sentenced. Pro-life protestors get aggressively prosecuted and have their First Amendment rights reduced, while pro-choice (meaning abortions without any limits whatsoever) protestors threaten Supreme Court Justices with impunity, and pro-life pregnancy centers are attacked without consequences. Hillary Clinton runs an illegal e-mail server, compromises national security, and destroys the evidence with total impunity, while Trump gets his home raided by the Stasi for lesser transgressions.

After “campaigning” from his basement as a moderate uniter who would return things to normal, Biden has exacerbated national disunity and economic malfunction by governing as a progressive. He has kept his promise to wage a war on fossil fuels (which he now denies), with disastrous results. After ceding American blood and treasure to the Taliban in Afghanistan, he has doubled down with an open weapons system checkbook to the corrupt Ukrainian government (which handsomely funded his son and the Biden crime family). American casualties will soon follow (those tanks and missile systems require American maintenance and support personnel). When the Communist Chinese invade the Capitalist Chinese in Taiwan, it will be an open question if we have sufficient military, economic and political wherewithal left to make any difference. It will not matter if the malevolent and demented fabulist Biden had been replaced by the malevolent, daft and clueless Harris- either way we are in the deep end of the manure pit.
