Won’t Get Fooled Again?

“What Difference at this point does it make?”- Former Secretary of State, feminist icon, and serial liar Hillary Clinton in Congressional testimony on Benghazi misinformation she and Susan Rice propagated to protect and ensure the reelection of Barack Obama in 2012
Mr. Scott: “There's an old, old saying on earth, Mr. Sulu: “Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.”
Mr. Chekov: “I know this saying. It was invented in Russia.” - From Star Trek, Fridays Child (1967)

In the wake of President Brandon signing the Inflation Reduction Act, Democrats bragging about their climate tax-and-spend “victory,” and the regime’s insistence that we just need to “trust” them on the whole August 8th Stasi Mar-A-Lago Trump raid, I thought I’d apply the words of lying Hillary, Montgomery Scott, and Anton Chekov to the policy “accomplishments” of our progressive betters.
What difference at this point will the Inflation Reduction Act make in Inflation?

According to the University of Pennsylvania Wharton Business school, the Congressional Budget Office, and over 200 concerned economists (who I joined), essentially none, with the potential of actually increasing inflation if the increased IRS audit revenue “enhancements” and allegedly sunsetted spending increases don’t reduce the deficit as spun.

What difference at this point will the Inflation Reduction Act make in climate?
According to the UN (meaning deeply flawed and biased) climate model, the promised emissions reductions from the Democrat’s virtue signaling high income and Chinese Communist Party subsidizing climate vote-buying initiative will avert at most an undetectable .03 degrees Fahrenheit by 2100, and probably less. Bjorn Lomborg produced this helpful graphic of how much difference the Green New Deal Payoff will make.

The climate provisions of the Inflation Reduction Act put the United States on the path to emulating the energy policies of Europe, meaning we can expect a future of more expensive and less reliable energy, energy rationing, and blackouts. There is a faint possibility that the Republicans might repeal this stupidity if they regain power. Still, the record on Obamacare (also passed on a strictly partisan reconciliation basis) suggests not.

What difference at this point will the Inflation Reduction Act make in the midterms?
This is where Mr. Scott’s observation is important. I think that a majority of the American people have been fooled more than once by the progressive left and their media messengers (the Russia Hoax is the most egregious, but hardly the only or even most recent example).  The Senate is likely to remain under Democratic control, meaning Brandon (or more likely Kamala) can continue to appoint leftist judges and cabinet clowns. Even if the GOP, by some miracle, takes over both the House and Senate, Brandon/Kamala will veto any repeal efforts in the unlikely event they actually occur. I have been listening to the Who:
Won’t Get Fooled Again- Pete Townsend
We’ll be fighting in the streets
With our children at our feet
And the morals that they worship will be gone
And the men who spurred us on
Sit in judgment of all wrong
They decide, and the shotgun sings the song

I’ll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around me
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
And I’ll get on my knees and pray
We don’t get fooled again

Change, it had to come
We knew it all along
We were liberated from the fold, that’s all
And the world looks just the same
And history ain’t changed
‘Cause the banners, they all flown in the last war

I'll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around me
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
And I'll get on my knees and pray
We don’t get fooled again

No, no
I’ll move myself and my family aside
If we happen to be left half alive
I’ll get all my papers and smile at the sky
For I know that the hypnotized never lie
Do ya?
Yeah

There’s nothing in the street
Looks any different to me
And the slogans are effaced, by-the-bye
And the parting on the left
Is now the parting on the right
And the beards have all grown longer overnight

I’ll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around me
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
And I’ll get on my knees and pray
We don’t get fooled again

Don’t get fooled again
No, no
Yeah
Meet the new boss
Same as the old boss
