A Very Bad Feeling
Jon Reisman
Last week I wrote about my “bad feeling” regarding Democratic legislation I suspected would further empower the agents of wokism, racial preferences, pronoun fascism and drag shows in our public schools. My concerns have not been allayed, but I am reasonably confident there will at least be a roll call vote on the matter, so there is the remote possibility that Maine voters might eventually punish the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion indoctrination advocates who are burning down our schools, poisoning our kids and teaching them to hate our country. Hope springs eternal, or at least it did until the simultaneously criminally corrupt, incompetent and evil Biden administration took steps to destroy American prosperity and move us towards a hot war with Russia and China. My bad feeling was replaced with a very bad feeling, so bad my eldest son advised me to stop watching the news.
After failing to recognize that their profligate spending and Covid lockdown policies had ignited the worst inflation (which they deemed “transitory”) since the bad old days of Jimmy Carter, OPEC oil price hikes and the Russian invasion of Afghanistan, the Biden administration doubled down by neglecting to provide adult supervision to their woke banking and finance campaign contributors and failing to anticipate rather obvious negative consequences of the Fed’s belated efforts to combat that inflation by rapidly raising interest rates. I know that President Biden is a corrupt cretin, Treasury Secretary Yellen is a political hack, that the progressives and socialists in the Democratic Party hate capitalism and that most of them never took an economics or management course (because gender studies, social justice and climate alarmism are much more relevant and don’t have that racist white supremacist math in them), but bank insolvency and illiquidity was easily predictable. In retrospect, so is the selective Biden bail out of woke banks and depositors, a likely precursor to nationalizing the banking system and instituting fascist control over money and the populace. Biden just told Justin Trudeau who rolled out that tactic against Canadian protestors to hold his beer, Guinness as opposed to Molson.
As if that was not bad enough, Biden tripled down in his march towards World War III, greenlighting more aid without limits or accountability to Ukraine, while taunting the Russian bear and “warning” China not to aid Russia. In less than two and a half years, Biden has managed to destroy both peace and prosperity. President Obama was right in warning how easily Joe could f… things up.
And just to show what a great unifying supreme leader he is, Biden cemented our banana republic status by attacking “MAGA” Republicans while his Department of Justice administered a two-tiered unequal justice system, a Soros- backed New York City District Attorney prepared to indict and arrest Trump on trumped up charges, and the mainstream media ignored evidence that the Biden crime family took in millions from the Chinese Communists. A very bad feeling indeed.
In looking for a bright side to my concerns about Biden and Yellen’s gross incompetence, malignity and mismanagement, at least I am not stressing as much about cackling Kamala and clueless cabinet members Buttigieg (Transportation (Beam me up Scotty)), Mayorkas (Homeland (in)Security), Garland (Unequal Justice) and Granholm (Energy/Climate Alarmism)
