Last Saturday, August 17, four-year-old Edith Stewart, daughter of Samantha and James Stewart of Charlotte, was awarded the Pembroke Library’s #1 Reader Award and Certificate. Edith has checked out the most books not only in 2024, but also in 2023 and 2022 for a total of 514 books.  She was also given a gift bag of books and a gift certificate donated by Michelle Curtis, owner of the Polar Treat in Perry.  Congratulations, Edith!
