Conservative Wrongthink

Some “Bad conservative” recent reactions to the legacy media narrative: Italian and Swedish elections
The headlines announcing the conservative victories in Italy and Sweden could not have been clearer- Italians had elected Mussolini’s successor, and Swedes had been seduced by Neo-Nazis. American media progressives buried the fact that the electoral victories in both countries were largely in response to uncontrolled immigration and progressive European Union bureaucratic mandates. (In the United States, we call that Brandon’s southern border policy and the Deep State) For some reason Swedes and Italians have been less than grateful for the increasing crime and misery waves of Muslim immigrants had brought, and xenophobically resentful of diversity, equity and inclusion efforts that George Soros, the left and European Union bureaucrats have foisted upon them. The notoriously toxically masculine Italians responded by electing their first female prime minister. Of course, because she is a conservative Nazi Catholic dogmatic mother birthing person who calls abortion reproductive health services “a tragedy,” the left ignored or downplayed it.
The Threat to Democracy
In the wake of previous right of center fascist electoral gains in Britain, France, Poland and Hungary, it seems likely that European progressives will soon move to regulate, if not outlaw, elections in order to “protect Democracy.” I fully expect their American Democratic Party cousins to do the same after the midterms. Indeed Hillary Clinton herself laid the groundwork by claiming that a Trump rally in Ohio was filled with young men giving the Nazi “Sieg Heil” salute. On the heels of Brandon’s blood-red tinged MAGA semi-fascist rant, it was deplorable indeed. One unhinged Democrat has already executed an 18-year-old teenager because he believed him to be a Republican domestic extremist. Cannot imagine where he might have got that idea, although MSNBC, the New York Times and the FBI all come to mind, but that is just conservative bias.
Progressives have recently been lamenting systemic threats to Democracy, which basically means any electoral result that does not go their preferred way. Ironically, the left is echoing the Founding Fathers Racists, who recognized that historically, democracy itself was a threat to democracy. Populist sentiments and voting for bread and circuses created tyrannies of the majority and destroyed democracies in the past. The solution was a constitutional republic with federalism and parsed power to brake democratic excesses and protect minority rights. Those constitutional protections are exactly what the left, allegedly seeking to “protect democracy,” seeks to destroy. Abraham Lincoln pledged that “government of the people, by the people and for the people” would not perish; progressives have simply added the coda “as long as the people vote the way we want them to.”
Our Republic (as opposed to Democracy), in my view, is sustained by the rule of law, equal protection, a sound currency, the Constitution, a reverence for freedom and Faith. Progressives are hostile to every item on that list, and in a remarkable act of projection, continuously accuse conservatives of their own hostile proclivities. It is probably not a well thought out strategy, given that if anarchy or leftist tyranny breaks out, the second Amendment has more fans on the right than the left.
Payback’s a B*tch
When the Republicans take back the House, they must resist moderate urgings to act in a good Christian forgiving manner and go Old Testament on Brandon and the Progressives. Here is an opening list:
• Submit articles of impeachment for President Brandon, Secretaries Mayorkas and Garland and FBI Director Wray;
• Strip Representatives Swalwell, Raskin, Omar, Tlaib and AOC of all their committee assignments and inform them that in the unlikely event they demonstrate the ability to stop lying that the truth will set them free of further congressional duties;
• Loudly inform the teachers unions that their days of grooming and indoctrinating American children are over.
Although I expect the Republicans to retake the House, I do not believe that Bruce Poliquin will be joining them. He has not done anything to earn a return, and is not likely to make the progressives pay for their perfidy. I think Jared Golden will be emulating John Baldacci in the late 90’s as a nebbish backbencher Democrat in a Republican Congress, doing very little but preparing to run for Governor in 2026.
