A friendly reminder of a few important rules when snowmobiling through the Moosehorn National Wildlife Refuge. One key rule is to avoid riding on the cross-country skiing tracks. Some of the trail to Round Pond overlaps with the skiing loop, so riders must slow down, exercise caution, and stay off the tracks, even if it means not riding as far to the right as usual. Additionally, remember that speed limits apply (35 MPH in some areas and less in others), the trails are multi-use and shared with skiers and walkers, and not all refuge roads are open to snowmobiles. Stay on marked trails to help preserve access and comply with federal regulations.

Send me your news, your shout-outs for good deeds done, or your well wishes to give, and I’ll be sure to share them here. Until next week, I hope you stay well, stay safe, and be happy.
