Congratulations on the retirement of Brenda Batson and Therese McCormick, dedicated educators at Calais Elementary School, who have positively impacted countless students over the years.  Wishing them a joyful and fulfilling retirement after their years of service.

The farmers market kicks off next week.  You can visit every Tuesday from noon to 2 p.m. at Flat Iron Park. The market will run throughout the summer and into the fall, offering fresh produce and local goods.

Mark your calendars for June 22.  A benefit raffle for little Juliet Scott will be held at Calais Elementary School from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Proceeds will assist with her upcoming surgery costs. To donate raffle items, please contact Barbara Dore at 207-853-2386 or Victoria Dore at 207-271-7088.

The Calais Lioness Club is gearing up for the annual Super Draw during the International Homecoming Festival’s Street Fair.  This year’s event will take place on Saturday, August 10. Donations for the raffle are welcome.  For more details, visit the Calais Lioness Club on Facebook.

Send me your news, your shout-outs for good deeds done, or your well wishes to give, and I’ll be sure to share them here. Until next week, I hope you stay well, stay safe, and be happy.
