The annual plant sale organized by Jane Eaton, with proceeds benefiting Calais Downtown Revitalization Coalition, is set for Saturday, June 1, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  This will again take place at Flat Iron Park with an array of plants available by donation.  The plants available typically include annuals, perennials, houseplants, trees, shrubs, bushes, and more.  For those with any plants to donate to the sale, or to obtain additional information, Jane Eaton can be reached at 207-454-2812.

Saturday, May 25, is the date of the benefit spaghetti dinner and Chinese auction for Skeet and Tina Seelye.  The location has been changed to now be held at Calais Motor Inn.  Doors will open at 3:30 p.m. with ticket sales for the auction, followed by dinner starting at 5:00 p.m.  The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children, and take-out meals are available.

Be sure to mark your calendar for Saturday, June 1, for the third annual Rhubarb Festival.  This fun event is held at Kendall Farm in Perry.  All the details can be found at kendallfarmcottages.com/rhubarbfestival.

Send me your news, your shout-outs for good deeds done, or your well wishes to give, and I’ll be sure to share them here. Until next week, I hope you stay well, stay safe, and be happy.
