Thursday, May 9, is the Harlem Wizards basketball game at Woodland High School.  Doors open at 6 p.m., and the game starts at 7 p.m.  Proceeds from this fun event will benefit

Woodland Parks and Recreation Department, Woodland High School JMG, and Woodland High School senior class.

Time is running out to get your ticket for a chance to win a butcher barrel.  This fundraiser benefits American Legion Post 23 in Baileyville, and tickets are just $5.  Give Commander Kenny a call at 207-427-9058 by May 10 for details.

Saturday, May 25, is the date of the benefit spaghetti dinner and Chinese auction for Skeet and Tina Seelye.  This is set to be held at St. Croix Country Club, with doors opening at 3 p.m. with ticket sales, followed by dinner starting at 4:30 p.m.  The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children.

St. Croix Valley Chamber of Commerce is also still accepting applications from vendors looking to be part of the annual street fair during the International Homecoming Festival.  This year’s street fair is set for Saturday, August 10, and information and the application can be found at visitstcroixvalley.com/events (scroll to the bottom of the webpage).

Send me your news, your shout-outs for good deeds done, or your well wishes to give, and I’ll be sure to share them here. Until next week, I hope you stay well, stay safe, and be happy.
