National POW/MIA Recognition Day

 

September 20, 2019 proclaimed, by the President, as National POW/MIA Recognition Day. 

The Calais area Prisoners of War and Missing in Action (POW/MIA) Remembrance Ceremony was held Friday at the Calais Fire Station.  Prior to the ceremony, retired members of the military took turns standing Guard at the flag to remember all our POW/MIAs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
