As summer gets into full swing, the fiscal year for the City of Calais comes to a close and a new one starts. The fiscal year for the city closed June 30 with the new one starting on July first. This meant at their last meeting in June the City Council had to take action on the budgets for the upcoming year. The four budgets needing action by the city were held for public hearing on June 27 at 6 p.m.
