Food Drive Brings in Nearly a Ton and a Half of Food Donations

Always the second Saturday in May, the annual Stamp Out Hunger National Food Drive took place across the United States last weekend.  It is the largest one-day food drive in the country and is hosted by National Association of Letter Carriers.

In the past 25 years, the food drive has delivered more than one billion pounds of food to local food pantries and shelters.  Helping the Calais letter carriers with the food drive collection were girls from Girl Scout Troops 1365 and 2253.
