ATV Joker Run to Benefit Octoberfest

According to organizer Jamie Bohanon, Baileyville’s Octoberfest is being planned, just like any other year, with its date slated for Indigenous Peoples’ Day weekend, the big day will be Saturday, October 10th.  To help raise necessary funds, an ATV Joker Run fundraiser is happening on Saturday, July 18th.

Princeton FD Receives Donation of Boat and Trailer

The Princeton Fire Department has received gifts that will further help them in their rescue efforts: a new-to-them boat, motor, and trailer. 

According to Fire Chief Tony Ramsdell, these items will help the department in incidents such as remote fires, cold water rescues, and missing vessel searches.  Additionally, the equipment will even come in handy for fundraising events, such as rubber ducky races.

Pembroke 4th of July Festivities

Pembroke proved that there could be a parade on the 4th, despite the present limitations of the times!!  They did a great job!!  No bands and no candy throwing, but fire trucks from Charlotte, Dennysville, Meddybemps, and, of course, Pembroke blew their horns and had lots of waving and cheery faces!  There were several floats and some old vehicles AND the Shriners’ little cars!!  My favorite float was one driven by Fred and Linda Gralenski for the Pembroke Library!
