Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship

The St. Croix Knights of Columbus Council #149 held its Free Throw Championship last Saturday.  This annual event is open to area boys and girls ages 9 to 14, and winners in each division now move on to the state championship.  

All ten winners were named Council Champions of the 2020 Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship and have earned the right to compete at the state level. The St. Croix Council #149 in Calais sponsored the local competition at Calais Elementary School. All kids age 9 to 14 were eligible to participate.

Pink Game At Calais High School

 

The Calais Lady Blue Devils hosted the eighth annual Pink Zone game against the Woodland Lady Dragons on Wednesday, January 22, sponsored by Calais Regional Hospital to raise awareness about breast cancer. For this one evening, fans were asked to drop their team colors and unite together by wearing pink to the game. As in years past, the Pink Zone had additional Supporters: PCT Communications and V.L. Tammaro Oil Co. Breast Cancer Awareness information and promotional items were available at the game.
