“Liar, Liar, pants on fire”- various attributions, most recently credited to anyone exposed to Joe Biden, Adam Schiff, Anthony Fauci, Andrea Mitchell and/or White House spokesweenies.

Last month we learned that the Department of Energy and the FBI believe the “debunked” misinformation conspiracy theory that the Covid pandemic originated in the Fauci funded Wuhan, China bio-weapons lab, or as the New York Post put it, “It had to be Wu.” The White House spokespeople quickly moved to downplay and spin the report and prevent, to paraphrase Bob Dylan, being “tangled up in Wu.” Apparently, even the President no longer believes what the media, his FBI and climate alarmist compromised Department of Energy have to say. Perhaps he is not as out of touch, delusional and demented as regular observation suggests.

Fauci and the public health bureaucracy systematically lied and deceived the American people about Covid, masks, lockdowns and vaccines. They worked to demonize, deplatform and censor anyone who dared to question their narrative, and the legacy media and Big Tech backed them up. The only allowed exception to their authoritarian lockdown/censorship efforts was the protests, riots and arson committed by Black Lives Matter and Antifa. The “science” you see, was “settled”, and the protests against systemic racism, white supremacy and Donald Trump were no danger to public health because the public health mavens said so. Apparently woke belief in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion supersedes vaccines and natural immunity.

On top of the Wuhan lab lies, Mainers were also treated to a Matt Taibbi Twitter files revelation that in 2018 Senator Saint Angus of Arrowsic/Brunswick had compiled a Nixonian enemies list and forwarded it to his Big Tech friends at Twitter to have the barbarian critics muzzled and deplatformed. Would not want Maine kids reading about such stuff of the laptops Governor Saint Angus provided. The “journalists” at the BDN and PPH did their best to declare the story a nothing burger by not asking any questions and declaring that Saint Angus could not have done anything wrong.

Here are some of the other lies we have recently been told:

Janet Mills- no changes to our abortion laws, renewable green energy will reduce electric bills, Maine’s climate alarmist policies will reduce global warming.

The EPA- The air and water in East Palestine, Ohio are safe.

Maine climate alarmists- taking over Central Maine Power and Versant will result in better and less expensive service.

The consequences of this lying and censorship are already apparent. Most Americans do not trust or believe the media, politicians, and now, hopefully, our public health overlords. They can all be lumped together as decepticons- truly less than meets the eye. It is unfortunate, especially as we face conflict with the China/Russia/Iran/North Korea axis of evil. But the distrust has been earned and is richly deserved. In my opinion, you would have to be stupid or a victim of progressive brainwashing to believe anything the CDC, the FBI or the Biden administration says. That goes double for the legacy (New York Times, Washington Post, CNN, NBC, CBS, and ABC) and state (NPR, Maine Public) media and most especially the Pravdas on the Penobscot (BDN) and Presumpscot (PPH).
