Mistress of Truth
Jon Reisman
Almost immediately after rogue oligarch Elon Musk took Twitter away from the conservative censoring wokerati, thereby causing a panic attack amongst the free speech hating left that they might not be able to control the narrative and what people think, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Mayorkas announced amidst a Congressional grilling that a new Government Disinformation Board, promptly dubbed the Ministry of Truth, would be established, headed by noted musical theatre songstress and lyricist Nina Jancowicz.
I must admit that I rather liked the political/musical parodies that Nina Jancowicz had posted long before the Brandon administration named her executive Director of the Department of Homeland Security’s Ministry of Truth, charged with rooting out, exposing and countering “disinformation.” The fact that she is a left wing partisan hack who defines disinformation as anything that contradicts the leftist narrative was somewhat mitigated by her degrees of proximity to my family. The partiality to penning political parodies, which I inherited from my grandfather, is clearly evident in her disinformation themed send up of Supercalifragilisticexbealodotious- even if she was oblivious to the likelihood that the speech nanny in chief is more likely to be Nurse Ratched than Mary Poppins. Like my sons, the new Mistress of Truth is in her 30’s, very woke and partisan, and like my younger son, a Georgetown Masters graduate with a focus on “Democracy” (I usually refer to it as “swampology”, but that is another complaint).
Ms. Jancowicz is a committed purveyor of partisan disinformation, having attacked anyone who (correctly) noted that Kamala “slept her way to the top” (if you don’t know why because you only listen to NPR and the legacy media, just research Kamala and Willie Brown, and then ponder why the Vice-President is held up as a great role model for young girls), defended the pre and post-election Brandon protection /omerta strategy, the Twitter/Facebook defenestration of the Hunter Biden laptop from hell story, the Clinton/deep state/national security establishment Russia! Russia! Russia! fraud from beginning to the present and the Fauci/public health mafia deception as to the Wuhan lab origins of the Chinese Communist Party Covid Pandemic. I am sure she has also contributed useful idiocy on Jan. 6th, the Southern border, Ukraine, and the climate “emergency” as well. I thought Nina was prepping to replace Chief Disinformation purveyor Little Red Lying Hood herself, who claimed that the origins of the Ministry of Truth were actually in the Trump administration. That took a lot of chutzpah, because if Donald Trump had proposed that the government regulate and control the internet, Big Tech, The New York Times, the Washington Post and the rest of the legacy corporate media, I am sure we would have heard about it before now.
Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) promptly filed legislation to defund the Jancowicz Ministry of Fake News, but it is not going anywhere. Let the Democrats have their Ministry of Truth. Let the Democrats eviscerate the First Amendment. Let the Democrats channel Benito Mussolini and Chairman Mao. The Desantis Republicans might have the wisdom and stones to make it an election issue, but the Establishment Republicans do not. McConnell, Graham, Murkowski and Collins will not have much if anything to say about the Mistress of Truth, and I doubt we will hear anything from Bruce Poliquin. Liz Caruso might venture a cautious peep, but it will not be enough. The Ministry of Truth has been deployed, and it is here to stay. Welcome to the fundamental transformation of America.
I am hoping to be identified by the Mistress as a purveyor of disinformation. I may even write a parody and post a song about it- maybe to the tune of Desperado (Freedom, oh freedom, that’s just some people talking) or possibly Me and Bobby McGee (Freedom’s just another word for nothing left to lose).
