Community Rallies to Support Local Family
By Kaileigh Deacon
On May 4 the East Range II School in Topsfield will host a Benefit Spaghetti Supper and Chinese Auction for a brave little girl and her family who are having a tough time. The benefit is for four-year-old Pheobe Lloyd who is battling a medical condition. Pheobe will require several hospital trips, surgery and hospital stays while she fights to get better.
The dinner and auction will go toward helping Pheobe and her family with the cost of medical expenses. Pheobe is a tough little girl who enjoys Beauty and the Beast. The benefit will have many Beauty and the Beast-themed items to make the night fun for everyone, especially Pheobe.
The Chinese auction will host a number of different items with everything from bikes, to kayaks, to grills, and more. There is sure to be something for everyone. There will also be a raffle on a lottery ticket tree. Donations have come from all over the state all in support of Pheobe and her family.
The strong community we are part of in Washington County truly comes out when there is a need, we are all part of the same family. The benefit will take place on May 4th. Doors will open for the auction at 3 p.m. with food starting at 4 p.m. There will be spaghetti, hot dogs, beans, mac and cheese, and plenty of desserts. The cost is $6 per person or $20 for a family of four. For more information check out the event page on Facebook.
