CHS Students Pay Tribute with Veterans Day Ceremony

Local military veterans were honored last Friday at a ceremony held at Calais Middle/High School.  The students who make up Mrs. Lori Ellis’ AP English class worked diligently organizing the annual event that always brings a standing-room-only crowd.

The Veterans Day Ceremony began with an exceptional performance of “This Is My Country” by the school’s band, followed by the Honor Guard’s posting of the colors, and then the band’s performance of “The Star-Spangled Banner.”
