Music on the Green Final Concert

 

The final Music on the Green concert took place last Tuesday night with Tony’s Martini Club. The duo traveled from just outside Bangor to perform the last concert and close out the season. They played a selection of acoustic folk and blues, with a variety including songs by Nora Jones and others. The 2021 season was sponsored by Calais Downtown Revitalization Coalition (CDRC) and boasted great concerts, excellent weather and wonderful food provided by Calais Lady Blue Devils volleyball. Annual POW/MIA Remembrance Ceremony to be Held Sept. 17

 

This Friday September 17th the Boyd Smith Mitchell VFW post 9779 will host the annual POW/MIA remembrance ceremony. It will be held at the Calais Fire station beginning at 11 a.m. standing in honor of those missing in action and prisoners of war.  At noon the ceremony will be held with roses being placed on the white table for all wars. Please join the VFW to stand guard and for the Ceremony.
